Cools and soothes with minor first degree burns, cuts and scrapes. Forms a layer that protects against dirt and irritations that slow down the healing process. Water-Jel is a soothing tool for the first aid of burn wounds. It is called a "hydrogel" made of pure demineralized water, disinfectant Tea Tree Oil and a medicinal gelling product. It is thicker than water and does not evaporate. Water-Jel can be used as an alternative in locations where water is not present and in addition to the cooling (preferably lukewarm) water. With Water-Jel the principle of rapid heat transfer is applied. The burn is cooled by transferring heat from the damaged skin into the hydrogel. Then, the heat is not retained in the gel, but released to the surroundings. The heat from the burn is removed as quickly.
