Metalline compress is made of a strong, absorbent material and covered with perforated aluminium. It is suited for covering a variety of wounds including burn wounds. Because of the absorbent material the wound is kept dry which ensures a quick recovery. Covering the wound with the aluminium side down ensures that the compress does not stick to the wound. Metalline compresses are sterile.
