The active substance in Ascal cardio is carbasalate calcium. Carbasalate calcium at doses below 300 mg is an anticoagulant. It prevents the formation of blood clots in the blood vessels. Doctors prescribe it after a heart attack, after a stroke (cerebral infarction) or TIA (minor stroke), with angina pectoris, with increased risk of thrombosis and certain cardiac arrhythmias. Always read the leaflet before the use of medication.
